Announcing: The State of E-Business Maturity Benchmark Research 2008

As mentioned before, the next steps of the EBMM 2.0 research will be taken in 2008, and now we have reached the phase of conducting quantitative research. The goal is to establish the EBMM 2.0 across different types of organizations in the Netherlands. Target audiences include E-business managers/ Online channel responsible managers of top 500 organizations in the Netherlands.

This research will have the following steps:

  • Online questionnaire:
    The questionnaire will handle questions concerning the E-business 4 aspects of the Cloaverleaf model. Next to this questions are incorporated concerning the size of the e-business group, the available budget, size of responsibility etc.
  • Draft EBMM 2.0 Benchmark:
    The learnings from the online questionnaire will be used as input for the in depth interviews.
  • In depth interviews with target audience:
    The draft EBMM 2.0 Benchmark will be discussed wiht E-business managers from at least 4 different 4 sectors.
  • Expert panel session:
    The members of the E-business managers online platform will discuss the findings of this research report in a roundtable discussion setting. They will be able to provide feedback on the research findings and discuss the ways in which these findings will assist them in managing E-business in their own organization.
  • Benchmark report publication:
    This research will result in a deeper insight in the e-business maturity levels of various organizations. This will lead to:
    ? E-business maturity level of the Netherlands
    ? E-business Industry benchmark
    ? E-business organization to organization benchmark

Next to this, best practices will be found concerning E-business. These will lead to key recommendations in order to improve the organization?s performance. These recommendations serve as a guideline or checklist to see whether or not you have been doing the right things right!
