Forrester E-Business success 2007 research

Must confess that I cannot recall how I came to have access to this presentation. But let that not stop you to read on! Forrester conducts an ongoing research based on the Forrester E-Business panel. This consists of 215 eBusiness executives from accross industries. Here are the key findings:

Current situation:

  1. E-Business market share is growing rapidly
  2. E-Business budgets are on the rise
  3. E-Business teams report more and more into marketing
  4. E-Business teams are generally organised:
    38% dedicated central E-Business groep responsible for initiatives
    25% shared service function supporting other business units and departments
    29% have E-Business groups at business group, unit level

Challenges:

  • IT resources continue to and have always plagued eBusiness teams
    Even with what eBusiness executives report as increased budget and support, it?s not enough
  • All industries face consumer security and privacy concerns
